Rescue Horses
In mid July 2009, several young horses were rescued from neglect and abuse in eastern Ohio. Seven of these horses were lucky enough to find temporary homes at Hoof Beats. After a long eight hour trailer ride to Evansville the new horses were introduced to their new home where food, water, and medical care were immediately provided for them.  Their progress has been monitered and now they are all looking for new loving homes.
We are only asking the price that would cover what we have already paid in medical, food and time for them and nothing more.
Horse One - Reverse
Reverse is a 2 year old colt who arrived with a severe case of mange. His neck, legs, and the base of his tail were all badly eaten away. He had large cuts on his back legs from barbed wire. He was under weight and nervous around people. After one month, Reverse's mange cleared up and is almost fully healed. His cuts have healed and he has reached a healthy weight. He's a very sweet boy and will be a great horse.
Update - Reverse was adopted by Rick Franks and is doing well a his new home!

NEEDS A HOME
Riot is about two years old. After a month he put on weight and it was obvious he was going to be a big boy. Riot has some draft in him and is very stocky and muscular with a beautiful long mane, tail, and forelock.

He has now been started under the saddle, gelding, and has been trimmed for the first time. He's making great progress and is still in need of a good home.
